|
With great pleasure I invite you to participate in the 'Inter-School Youth Festival -2008' to be held on 13th-15th Nov., 2008. It's a three day long festival & will have events like music, literary, dance, drama and art. It's a celebration of talents that we nurture in our students and a pot-pourri of different hues and flavours that each year spreads the aroma in the shape of three intensive days of activities. This provide a platform for the young students to showcase their creative skills and artistic talents as well as to facilitate brotherhood exchanges between them.
This youth festival will be open to students from VI-XII class. Kindly send your entries by 20th Sept. positively.
When students return home they will not only take a treasure trove of memories to cherish for a life time, but also receive certificate of participation and a memento for their school.
We look forward to your kind co-operation and participation to make this festival a glowing success

| General Guidelines |
- Competition will be conducted according to different Categories:
Category A - Classes IX - XII
Category B - Classes VI – VIII
- Entry is restricted to one team per school in group events.
- For all events the decision of the judges will be final and binding on everyone
- For outstation schools, boarding, lodging & transport will be provided by the host school (no charges).
- The order of stage appearance shall be decided 20 minutes before the commencement of the event.
- Participants exceeding or not reaching time limit will be disqualified.
- Persons other than participants & officials will not be allowed behind the stage during the competition.
- A team should comprise of 10 students and one teacher from each school.
- Entry form will be considered valid if it is complete in all respects & is duly forwarded by the head of the institution through post, fax (0161-2463480) or e-mail -info@bcmeducation.org.
- Last date for sending the entry form is 20th Sept 2008.

- It is necessary for all the participants to wear Fusion I-Cards at all times. For your assistance you will be provided with a team escort by us.
- Other than participants no outsider is allowed in the campus.
- Participants are supposed to be in casual dress during participation in different events. They have to be in school uniform only during Prize Distribution Function.
- Kindly bring your school flag along with you.
- Schedule of events will be sent to the participating schools.
- Music should be on Audio CD or Audio Cassettes only. MP 3 and VCD will not be entertained.

| Literary Activities |
Literary Activities are a mirror of thoughts and expressions and have the power to influence. It is a technique which is used to produce a specific effect on the reader or listener. When students understand this technique, the literary world takes on a new and fantastic dimension.

| General Rules: 1. These are individual events open to both categories. Entry is restricted to maximum one student each for Hindi & English from each category and from each event. 2. In Hues of Creativity & Extempore the topics will be given on the spot. 3. In Hues of Creativity, 60 minutes will be given to perform the task. 4. In Poetic Recitation, brief introduction of the poet is must. 5. In Extempore, the participant will be allowed to pick up the slip & prepare the topic orally for one minute. The speaker will speak on the topic for 2-3 minutes. |

Art is a human activity, made with the intention of stimulating the human senses as well as the human mind. It channelizes the mind's energies into aligning thoughts with visuals. An artwork is normally assessed in quality by the amount of stimulation it brings about. It is conceived with ideas of truth and beauty.
