Mrs. RK. Oberoi (Headmistress) and Ms. Shelly attended a workshop on 'Multiple Intelligence' at D.P.S. Jalandhar on 27th-28th March, 2008. Ms. M. Warner, the resource person gave some important tips on how the teachers can recognize these intelligence among students and also laid stress on
effective Lesson Plans' and 'Effective Assessment Strategies' and use of various activities while grooming the kids at school.

April, 2008.
Mrs. Anita Choudhary and Mrs. Sharda attended a Science Workshop at Kendrya Vidhalaya, Sector 31, Chandigarh on 21st July, 2008. It was organised by C.B.S.E. on the use of 'New Books' developed by NCERT.
Mrs. Anjali Kamboj and Mrs. Gurmeet attended a workshop in English at Guru Nanak Public School by Oxford University Press. The workshop aimed at providing information and guidance to the teachers about changing trends in English language.
Mrs. Kanchan Kapoor, Mrs. Madhvi and Mrs. Pooja Katyal attended a workshop at Gobindgarh Public School on 2nd Aug, 2008. The resource persons - Mr. Khosla and Mr. IS. Grewal discussed about the changes in the syllabus of Accounts and also discussed the type of questions to be set in Board examination based on 'High Order Thinking Skills'.

Cost.'
Mrs. Vipra Kale, Environment Manager attended a 'Seminar on Health and Environment' organised by State Institute of Health and Kheti Virasat Mission on 7th Aug. 2008 at Mohali, wherein environment health problems in Punjab due to pesticides, ill effects of genetically modified crops and challenges of sustainable development were discussed.
Special psychological sessions were conducted by Mrs. Neeraj Sharma (School Counsellor) for the Classes IX, X, XI and XII in the month of July. The topic discussed was 'Developing Positive Attitude'. In August the topic of discussion was 'How to manage Examination Stress'.
Mr. Bhupinder Singh & Mrs. Madhvi went to Delhi to attend a Practical Training Programme imparted by B.I.F.M. from 25th to 30th August, 2008, in collaboration with C.B.S.E. based on Introduction to Financial Market Part I & II.

Mrs. Neeru Grover and Ms. Randeep Kaur attended a seminar on the topic 'Sharpen the Tools of Your Craft' on 28th March, 2008. Ms. Kuldeep Kaur spoke on 'Refine the Knowledge of Your Subject Matter and Enhance your Convictions'. Dr. Sandeep Sawhney spoke in detail on the topic 'Sharpen the awareness of your students.'
Mrs. Payal Singla and Mrs. Chander Kirti attended a seminar in which Dr. Khushvinder Kumar, Principal of the College dealt with Conceptual Learning i.e. What we should teach and How? He also acquainted the teachers with various types of learning.
A seminar 'Dastak-A Call for Counselling in the School' was attended by Dr. (Mrs.) Kiran Saini and Mrs. Neeraj Sharma (Counsellor) on 2nd April, 2008, where eminent educationists and psychologists had discussion on two important topics i.e. 'Psycho Social Aspects of Violence Related Behaviour among Adolescents' and 'Sensitising Parents and Teachers to the Emerging Concerns of Adolescents.'

To encourage Art and Craft' among school teachers, Pidilite Industries Limited, Mumbai organised Creative Craft Orientation programme in our school. About 30 teachers from various schools attended the workshop which proved to be a wonderful enriching experience for them. A number of art activities such as Crackle Painting, Emboss Painting, Tie and dye with Seek Colours and other Craft Works were demonstrated by the experts.

Workshop on Developing Positive Attitude & Adaptability |
Our Principal, Mrs. Paramjit Kaur conducted a workshop for teachers from 26th-28th May, 2008 and shared numerous valuable tips to improve their attitude towards children and also explained how to adapt to the changing environment. She discussed students problems, their behavioural and emotional needs, the curricular and important modifications required for the overall development of the students, in this fast pace of life teachers need to broaden their outlook towards their profession and should adopt positive approach and methodology to provide better education and comforting environment. About 8 teachers were urged to adapt to the transformed era of knowledge ana functioning of the school.
