Anti Drug Ploicy

                                                                ANTI-DRUG POLICY

BCM Arya Model Sr. Sec. School strongly upholds a zero-tolerance approach towards the use, possession, distribution, or influence of drugs, tobacco, alcohol, or any harmful substances within the school premises, during school-related activities, or while wearing the school uniform.

The school is committed to creating a drug-free, safe, and healthy learning environment for all students, promoting responsible choices, and supporting students in avoiding risky behaviors.

Any violation of this policy will lead to strict disciplinary action including suspension, cancellation of admission, issuing of SLC, and reporting to legal authorities as per NDPS (Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act), 1985.

 

Aims and Objectives

  • To ensure a drug-free and safe school campus.
  • To prevent students from indulging in or being exposed to harmful substances.
  • To create awareness among students, parents, and staff about the dangers of drug abuse, vaping, smoking, and alcohol.
  • To provide support and counseling to at-risk students.

 

Implementation

  • Preventive Measures & Awareness Campaigns:
  • Annual Anti-Drug Awareness Drives, Rallies, and Pledge Ceremonies.
  • Special Assemblies, Nukkad Nataks, Poster Competitions, and Quizzes.
  • Collaboration with local police, NGOs, and rehabilitation centers for expert sessions.
  • Life skill sessions focusing on refusal skills, decision-making, and handling peer pressure.

 

Strict Prohibitory Measures:

  • Random checking of school bags, lockers, and vehicles, including buses.
  • Monitoring of suspicious behavior and peer reports handled confidentially.
  • Vaping, e-cigarettes, hookah pens, tobacco, alcohol, drugs, or psychotropic substances are strictly banned.

Complaint & Reporting Mechanism:

  • Students and staff can report any suspected incident confidentially via suggestion boxes, to the School Counselor, Discipline Committee, or Principal.
  • Parents will be informed immediately upon any incident.
  • Offenders will face strict action, including counseling, parental involvement, suspension, issuance of SLC, and reporting to the Police if necessary.

 

Supportive Measures:

  • Counseling and rehabilitation support provided in collaboration with local de-addiction centers, if needed.
  • Peer support teams and Say No to Drugs' clubs to promote a positive environment.

 

Review & Monitoring

  • Regular review of the Anti-Drug Policy during Discipline and Safety Committee Meetings.
  • Annual audit of campus safety and behavior monitoring reports.
  • Feedback from students, teachers, and parents is encouraged to strengthen the policy.
